THE HOLMES MYTHOS

Vine Leaves

Sacred Wine

I walk a path that marvels at me, leading me into the light

Dancing by day in harmonious ways, caressing my heart in delight

I shine in the stories the ancient ones tell and carry a torch to the sun

Mounting my steed in glorious heed piercing the nights only one

I capture its fragrance on rose water lips, speaking the world's only call

Searching the heart of God's lovely thoughts eternity finding them all

Ive tunneled beyond the cellars below and lifted the criers on high

To bask in the gardens of life’s lovely soil, rendering only a sigh

I’ve carried the visions through streams and glens that paint the tears on the moon

That fall to the ground where the holy one sings all through the month of June

I stand at the crossing where white water boils teeming with power divine

Capturing joy in these lonesome days, bathing in life’s sacred wine
